Combining traditional techniques with the finest ingredients, Short Mountain Cultures makes a variety of fermented foods including sauerkraut, tempeh, hot sauce, kimchi, kvass, water kefir, kombucha, coconut kefir, and seasonal fermented vegetables. Our products are probiotic, nutrient rich and feature both familiar and unique flavors. We work with local farmers to bring you the freshest, non-GMO and organically grown ingredients.

Come sample our full line of fermented foods and chat with us about your own fermentation exploits. We also carry organic staples from rice and beans to chocolate covered espresso beans. Sit and enjoy a pour-over coffee with a house made ginger molasses cookie. It’s worth the drive, y’all!

We are firm believers with all things fermentation that more is more! Come get juicy with us squeezing sauerkraut and get introduced to a wide range of ferments you can make at home. Additionally, we carry a wide variety starter cultures/SCOBYs and books.
